Van der Garde and Sauber, it's over

Giedo van der Garde has permanently ended his contract with Sauber by "mutual consent".

The 29-year-Dutch believed to still have a valid current engagement with the Swiss team, which did not prevent it to run Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson as race drivers.

"I am sad and disappointed, said Van der Garde Wednesday in a statement relayed on the F1 website. I worked hard all my career, from karting at the age of eight, to live my dream and become a driver that would succeed in F1. I was hoping to at least be able to show what I am capable, respected team control for the grid environment in 2015. my dream was taken from me, I know that in my future F1 is now probably completed.
