SHOCKING VENGEANCE: Nurse Pricks Baby's Eyes with Needle

Everyday in the world, weird things happen that remind us right again all the time that truly, there is no being too careful in life. This is the case of a new mother in Sokoto whose baby's eyes have been pricked by a nurse using a needle.

The nurse, who is known as Folashade Adesina of the Usman Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto is said to have confided in another nurse that the newborn baby's mother had given her a carryover in the University.

According to the mother of the baby, however:

"Immediately after my delivery, my nurse told me that Folashade had told her that I gave her a carryover.

"I was shocked to hear this because I am not a teaching staff of the university, and I have no business with students' scripts. So, how could I give her a carryover?"

The mother added that after her delivery, Folashade came to announce to her that her husband had arrived at the hospital, and that she would like to take the baby to the dad. She says she had innocently consented, and few minutes later, Folashade had returned with the baby to her. However, the baby was not in the same form it had been when Folashade had taken it earlier.

The mother says she noticed blood dripping from her baby's eyes, and immediately raised an alarm. The baby was immediately rushed into the eye section of the hospital where an analysis was taken, and it was confirmed that the eyes had been pricked. It was a relief to also confirm that the object however had not penetrated the lenses of the eyes.

It is reported that the suspect has since been arraigned by the police before the Sokoto Magistrate Court, and is currently being remanded in prison.
