Chelsea prepared to offload Werner to fund transfer of World class striker

German striker could be sold to fund Haaland bid

Chelsea are ready to offload Timo Werner in the summer transfer window - according to Sky Germany.

The Blues have been asking around a number of top European clubs to find a potential suitor for the 25-year-old, who struggled in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

Should Werner be sold, Chelsea are planning to use the money to fund their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund frontman Erling Haaland.

Haaland is said to be a top target of the blues and according to various sources, Dortmund are only prepared to sell if a crazy arrives for the Norwegian front man.

In a bid to match that 'crazy bid', Chelsea are now looking to sell Timo Werner who only arrived from the Bundesliga last season and struggled for goalscoring form in his first season at Chelsea.
