Canada Expecting 3.7 Million Covid-19 doses this week

Canada's federal government will be receiving 3.7 million doses more of COVID-19 vaccines this week. This delivery would include: 2.8 million doses of the Moderna vaccine, and about 900,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Prime Minister Trudea, while addressing reporters after getting his last shot of the Moderna vaccine at the Ottawa clinic last Friday, said:

“We are well on the way to a good summer and an even better fall.

“That said, we are not out of the woods yet.”

Trudeau added that close to 80% of eligible Canadians have already received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, and more than 35% have received two doses already. He said his government expects to receive a total of 68 million by the end of July.
