Trip to Space with Jeff Bezos: Seat Sells for $28 Million

Jeff Bezos, his brother Mark, one unannounced passenger and tourist each are to take a flight to space on July 20. The passenger seat of the flight which is scheduled to last for 10 minutes was auctioned, and had interests from more than 140 countries. On Saturday, bidder won the spot for a whooping $28 million. 

Jeff Bezos is also founder of Amazon. His space company Blue Origin Space will be hosting the first crewed spaceflight on New Shepard, the company's launch vehicle. 

According to the company:

The winning bid amount will be donated to Blue Origin's foundation, @ClubforFuture.

Jeff Bezos posted about the trip on his Instagram page earlier this week:

On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother, the greatest adventure, with my best friend.

Jeff Bezos' brother Mark also described the upcoming flight as a "remarkable opportunity".

As at now, the bid winner for the passenger seat has not yet been announced, but we can't wait to know the billionaire who procured the flight ticket!
