Good music has no boundaries — Biy Martins #Arewapublisize

A United States of America-based rapper, Martins Ossai, popularly known as Biy Martins, has reiterated his belief that music has no boundaries, so it can effortlessly travel all around the world.

He said, “I am a rapper with authentic ‘afro’ vibe. I started off as a break dancer before venturing into singing. Music has no boundaries and I am sure my talent will be appreciated by international audiences.”

Martins also stated that he was excited when American rapper, Bow Wow, had taken to Instagram to ‘repost’ the flyer for the former’s new Extended Play album titled, ‘FMW’. He said, “To say I was pleased with Bow Wow’s action would be an understatement. I was impressed with what he did and he remains a source of inspiration to me.

“It feels great when a person one idolises appreciates one’s craft. It is a pointer that one is doing something great. It is an inspiration for me. It is things like that that keep me going.”

Recalling how he began his career, Martins said, “I have been doing music for a long time. I actually started as a break dancer. Then, I use to imitate the dance steps of Michael Jackson. Also, I grew up with a lot of afrobeat being played around me. Reggae songs by artistes such as Bob Marley and Lucky Dube were part of the foundation of my music. I released my first song in 2008, before I got distracted with school. So, I had to put my music career on hold. After my education, I then came back to music professionally in 2020.”
