Europa League Final: Ole expects to be without Harry Maguire but has positive news on Fred and McTominay

Ole Gunnar Solskjær has said that he does not expect Harry Maguire to be fit for the Europa League Final.

Maguire has been battling an ankle ligament damage for close to a fortnight and hopes had been that he woukd recover in time for Solskjaer's most important game of his United career.

But the signs don't look good according to Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who has now revealed that the chances are slim for Harry Maguire to win the race against time.

“He's walking but it's a long way from walking to running, so to be honest I don't think we'll see him in Gdansk, no.

“I'm going to give him until Tuesday night, the last training session to see if he can try to be out there. Steadily but surely he's improving, but ligaments take time to heal.” Solskjær said ahead of United's final league game of the season at Wolves.

Fears, however, about Fred and McTominay has been eased with Solskjær admitting that they are both 'ok' to play while Anthony Martial's season is definitely over.
